A 3-question comparison tool that cross-checks your company's size, what you actually need and your grant history to tell you whether Kit Digital, Kit Consulting — Spain's two digitalisation grant programmes — or neither applies to you, with the tier, the grant amount, the requirements and the real status of the call for applications.
Kit Digital covers 0 to 249 employees across five tiers. Kit Consulting only covers 10 to 249 employees.
This is the key difference between the two programmes: one pays for tools, the other pays for advice.
Anyone who has already been a Kit Digital beneficiary in a tier cannot apply again in that same tier. Kit Consulting has no such restriction.
The number of employees sets your tier in each programme and decides whether Kit Consulting is even an option for you.
Specific digital tools (Kit Digital) or prior strategic advice (Kit Consulting): these are different things, not alternative versions of the same service.
If you've already been a Kit Digital beneficiary in your tier, that route is closed — but Kit Consulting stays open if what you need is advisory support.
Against the tiers and amounts verified on red.es, acelerapyme.gob.es and the BOE (Order ETD/1498/2021 and its amendments).
Which programme applies to you, how much you can receive, and what to do next: apply for it, or justify it correctly if you already have it.
Kit Digital and Kit Consulting are two public programmes run by Red.es under Spain's Digital Agenda, but they solve different problems and are not mutually exclusive. Kit Digital pays for hiring ready-made digital solutions — a website, an online shop, a CRM, cybersecurity, e-invoicing, applied AI — through a registered Digitalisation Agent. Kit Consulting pays for something else entirely: strategic advisory services, the upfront diagnosis-and-roadmap work that's often missing before deciding which tool to hire. Confusing the two is common — and costly, because each has a different cap on the grant amount and a different range of eligible companies.
Kit Digital covers almost any company size: self-employed people and companies with 0 to 249 employees, split across five tiers (III, II, I, IV and V) with vouchers from €2,000 to €29,000. Kit Consulting is narrower: only companies with 10 to 249 employees (Tiers A, B and C), with grants from €12,000 to €24,000. If you have fewer than 10 employees, Kit Consulting isn't an option for you — your only route of the two is Kit Digital.
There is no officially documented incompatibility between the two programmes: you can apply for Kit Digital for your tools and Kit Consulting for your strategy, fully independently of each other. What is strict is the rule within each programme on its own: anyone who has already been a Kit Digital beneficiary in a specific tier cannot apply again in that same tier.
As of this verification date, the five original Kit Digital calls are closed according to acelerapyme.gob.es itself, although Order TDF/39/2026 (published in the BOE on 28 January 2026) keeps the programme active by reinvesting unspent funds until they run out, with no confirmed new application window as of today. Kit Consulting's application deadline closed on 31 March 2025, and Red.es now frames the project as already completed. Before assuming either programme is definitively closed, check the current status directly on acelerapyme.gob.es and on Red.es's electronic headquarters.
Getting the voucher is only the first step: both programmes require you to properly justify the spend, or you risk having to repay the money. If you land Kit Digital, how to justify Kit Digital without a repayment order covers exactly what documentation Red.es asks for and the most common mistakes that trigger a repayment demand. And if your digitalisation plans include issuing invoices, don't miss our sister tool: when does Verifactu apply to me?, which gives you the exact deadline for your case. For the rest of your company's digitalisation decisions, digitalisation covers the related services and guides.

Yes, the two programmes are compatible with each other: each has its own grant amount and its own purpose (digital tools under Kit Digital, strategic advisory under Kit Consulting), and there is no officially documented incompatibility between the two.
As of this verification date (16 July 2026), the original calls for both programmes are closed. Kit Digital remains active thanks to Order TDF/39/2026, which allows Red.es to reinvest unspent funds until they run out, but there is no confirmed new application window. Always check the current status on acelerapyme.gob.es and on Red.es's electronic headquarters before assuming a programme is open or closed.
No. Kit Consulting only covers companies with 10 to 249 employees (Tiers A, B and C). If you have fewer than 10 employees, your only route of the two is Kit Digital, under Tier II or III depending on your size.
Generally, no: anyone who has already been a Kit Digital beneficiary in a specific tier is excluded from becoming one again in that same tier. If your company grows into a different tier, a new window may open, but confirm this against the current call before assuming anything.
No. It is an automatic guide based on the general rules published by Red.es and acelerapyme.gob.es, meant to help you understand which programme fits your case before you apply. The actual award depends on the current call, meeting every requirement, and fund availability — it does not replace the official decision or advice from a registered Digitalisation Agent or Advisory Agent.
