I work as a marketing, regulatory compliance and digitalisation consultant with companies right across Castile and León, based in the region and in Las Palmas, with remote support available. It is a vast, varied region: the automotive and agri-food sectors drive exports, tourism and heritage sustain entire provinces, and the demographic challenge shapes daily life across many districts. This page sums up the regional economic fabric and points you to the dedicated page for your own province, where the focus differs in every case.

Castile and León is not just farmland. Its GDP grew by 3.3% in 2025 and manufacturing carries more weight here than the national average (15.3% against 11.9%). In exports, the automotive sector accounts for around 39%, followed by food (16.5%, mostly meat) and chemical products. It is one of Spain's most industrial and export-oriented regions, with automotive and agri-food as its great engines and a heavyweight primary sector.
This defines the kind of marketing the region needs: on one hand, B2B industrial marketing for automotive suppliers and exporting companies competing in international markets; on the other, consumer brand-building for an agri-food sector full of quality marks but poor in its own brands and direct sales. I work on both fronts.
Few regions in Europe hold as many food-quality designations as Castile and León: Carne de Ávila PGI (Protected Geographical Indication), Cochinillo de Segovia PGI, the wines of Toro, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Bierzo, Queso Zamorano, suckling lamb, pulses and a long list more, many under the Tierra de Sabor regional brand.
The pattern repeats province by province: excellent product, weak brand. Much of the output is sold in bulk or through intermediaries, with no online shop, no story of origin and no positioning aimed at the end consumer. My work with cooperatives, wineries, cheese dairies and food workshops is to turn the quality mark into a brand: direct sales, well-communicated wine and food tourism, national positioning and a credible story that captures the end-consumer margin.
Automotive is the region's leading export industry, with flagship plants and dense supplier chains in provinces such as Valladolid, Palencia and Burgos. These companies are technically sound but their B2B marketing usually lags well behind: dated websites, no international positioning and no lead generation.
For them I work on industrial branding, conversion-focused websites, positioning for the sector's technical terms (in English too) and, inseparable from all this, the compliance the supply chain demands: ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and, for those working with public administration, the ENS (Spain's National Security Framework). In industry, certification is not paperwork: it is the condition for entering a tender or being approved as a supplier.
Cultural and nature tourism is an engine across much of the region: World Heritage cities (Ávila, Segovia, Salamanca), the Romanesque architecture of Zamora, the pine forests of Soria, Gredos, the Arribes or Lake Sanabria. At the same time, much of the territory suffers depopulation and an ageing population, with labour shortages and small local markets.
These two facts point to the same solution: digitalisation to sell beyond the local market. A rural company that ranks well in search engines and sells online can bill customers in Madrid, on the coast or abroad without depending on its local market. And a tourism business with direct booking stops handing margin and data to the OTAs. This is the heart of my proposal for the interior provinces.
Compliance runs across the whole region, but it changes by sector. For industry and automotive suppliers, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. For agri-food, ISO 22000 food safety. For those working with public administration, the ENS (Spain's National Security Framework). And for any company with a website or online shop, a properly implemented GDPR: a record of processing activities, cookie consent and contracts with processors. I design the path in phases, without over-engineering, so that compliance opens commercial doors rather than being just a cost.
Kit Digital and Kit Consulting remain available to SMEs and the self-employed across the region and are an excellent lever, especially in a region with so much rural fabric and so much product still to digitalise. They can fund websites, online shops, social media management, electronic invoicing, cybersecurity, analytics and advisory services. I help you choose the solutions that truly move your business forward (not the ones the provider's catalogue inflates), justify the grant correctly and integrate it with your operations. Always check the deadlines of the current call on official sources before committing.
The regional framework is shared, but the economic fabric changes a great deal from one province to the next, which is why I keep dedicated pages with their own focus for each. These are the provinces I cover specifically:
If your company is in one of them, it is worth starting with its dedicated page, where the diagnosis and the proposals are tailored to your sector. If you are in another province of the region, get in touch and we will tackle it just the same.
I serve the whole region remotely, based in Castile and León and in Las Palmas. I keep dedicated pages and tailored approaches for Ávila, Segovia, Soria, Palencia and Zamora, among others, because the economic fabric changes a great deal from one province to the next.
Automotive and agri-food lead exports (automotive alone accounts for around 39%). That defines two big fronts: B2B industrial marketing for automotive suppliers and exporters, and consumer brand-building for an agri-food sector with many quality marks but a weak brand.
Because the local market is small and many districts suffer depopulation. With a well-positioned website and online sales, a rural company can bill customers beyond its province and abroad without a physical presence, and a tourism business can win back direct booking from the OTAs.
For industry and automotive, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001; for agri-food, ISO 22000; for those working with public administration, the ENS; and for any website or online shop, a properly implemented GDPR. I design the path in phases so that compliance opens commercial doors.

Yes. A significant part of my work in the region is B2B industrial marketing for automotive suppliers and exporting companies: branding, conversion-focused websites, technical international positioning and the compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 27001) the value chain demands.
First session free of charge. In person in Valladolid, Burgos, Aranda or video, whichever you prefer. If we fit, closed proposal within 5 days.
