What is Kit Consulting and how does it differ from Kit Digital?
Kit Consulting is a Spanish government grant programme that subsidises expert digital advisory services for SMEs with 10 to 249 employees. Whereas Kit Digital (Spain digitalization grant) funds the deployment of technology solutions (software, hardware, cloud services), Kit Consulting funds the prior strategic advisory: digital maturity diagnosis, definition of the roadmap, design of the technology architecture and support during implementation.
The distinction matters: Kit Digital gives you the tools; Kit Consulting tells you which ones you need and how to use them. That is why 82% of the companies that have received Kit Consulting are also Kit Digital beneficiaries. Combining the two programmes maximises the return on digital investment.
Programme status and 2026 regulatory updates
The Kit Consulting call closed on 31 March 2025 after several deadline extensions. However, as with Kit Digital, Order TDF/38/2026 published in the BOE on 28 January 2026 amended the governing rules, removing the programme's expiry date and enabling the redistribution of remaining funds and the possibility of new calls.
This means that, although there is no open call at the moment, the legislation in force allows the Administration to reactivate the programme when it sees fit. The budget execution rate of 97.5% indicates limited but existing remaining funds. Segments and amounts: how much your company can obtain
Kit Consulting is structured into three segments. Segment A covers companies from 10 to fewer than 50 employees, with a maximum voucher of €12,000 that allows hiring up to 2 advisory services (€6,000 each). Segment B covers companies from 50 to fewer than 100 employees, with up to €18,000 for a maximum of 3 services. Segment C covers companies from 100 to fewer than 250 employees, with up to €24,000 for a maximum of 4 services.
Each advisory service is worth €6,000 and covers a minimum of 40 hours of expert advisory delivered over at least 3 months.

Artificial Intelligence
AI advisory includes identifying opportunities to apply artificial intelligence in the company, assessing maturity for AI adoption, defining a tailored AI strategy and guiding the implementation of the first projects. It covers generative AI, predictive analytics, intelligent automation and natural language processing.
Digital Sales
Covers the diagnosis of the digital sales process, e-commerce strategy, optimisation of online sales channels and the design of the digital customer experience. Includes marketplaces, owned e-commerce, social selling and sales automation.
Business Strategy and Performance
Covers the definition of the business's digital strategy, identification of KPIs and metrics, optimisation of digital business models and strategic planning of the digital transformation.
Business or Production Processes
Includes the analysis and optimisation of processes, automation (RPA, workflow), system integration and the digitisation of supply chain and logistics.
Basic Cybersecurity
Basic cybersecurity advisory covers diagnosing the current security posture, identifying vulnerabilities, defining a cybersecurity plan and providing immediate improvement recommendations.
Advanced Cybersecurity
Goes further with formal risk analysis, security architecture design, security master plan, evaluation of security suppliers and preparation for regulatory compliance (GDPR, NIS2).
Cybersecurity: Preparation for Certification
This category is particularly relevant for companies seeking ISO 27001 certification or alignment with the ENS (Spanish National Security Framework). It covers preparing all documentation for the security management system, risk analysis, definition of controls and support up to the certification audit.
Basic Data Analytics
Covers the assessment of the company's data sources, the design of dashboards and reporting and the implementation of Business Intelligence tools.
